Privacy Policy

Who we are

Secure Debug Limited (“Secure Debug”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described on this page. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 12323382. Our registered office is Unit 18 Innovation Centre, Cranfield Technology Park, Cranfield, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England, MK43 0BT. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message and, if you came from a service page, which service the enquiry is about. We use these only to reply to you and, if you ask, to scope and prepare a proposal. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Emails and calls. If you contact us directly, we use the details you give us for the same purpose.
  • Abuse protection. To stop automated spam, the form counts submissions for one hour against a one-way hash of your IP address. The form does not store the address itself, and the counters are deleted after the hour. Each message is also checked by Akismet, which receives your name, email address, message, IP address and browser details for that check. Messages identified as spam are kept apart from other enquiries and deleted after 30 days.
  • Hosting and security. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
  • Site statistics. We do not currently collect visitor statistics on this site.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

The contact form sets one strictly necessary cookie, ag_contact_err, and only when a submission fails a check: it carries your message and the reason it was rejected across the page reload, and it expires after five minutes. Site administrators also receive the standard WordPress login cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Who we share it with

  • WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.) hosts this website and stores the enquiries sent through the form.
  • Akismet (Automattic Inc.) checks messages sent through the form for spam.
  • Google (Google Workspace) provides our email; enquiries are delivered to our mailbox.

These providers act on our instructions under data processing terms. Some of them may process data outside the UK, including in the United States; where they do, the transfer relies on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If an enquiry becomes an engagement, the related records are kept for as long as our contract and legal obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle personal data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
